Why Choose TCI Over Other Taxidermists?
Selecting the right taxidermist is crucial, and many hunters wonder about the benefits of choosing an African taxidermist over a foreign one.
- Preservation Challenges: African field conditions are unpredictable. Skins exposed to high temperatures can deteriorate within hours, compromising the final trophy quality. At TCI, we understand these challenges firsthand.
- Our Unique Solution: Unlike taxidermists abroad, we maintain an extensive stock of spare capes, back-skins, and flat-skins for 95% of animals hunted in Zimbabwe. Even if your skin fails, we ensure your memories are preserved beautifully.
- Unmatched Service: TCI provides a field collection service and offers faster turnaround times than most international competitors, so you can enjoy your trophy sooner.
- In-House Expertise: As Zimbabwe’s only in-house taxidermy and freight service provider, we streamline the entire process for your convenience.
Our Promise: We go to any lengths to ensure your trophies are returned home, preserving your safari memories for a lifetime.
A True Story
In 2012, Jan Forman from Florida faced a nightmare when her once-in-a-lifetime leopard was partially lost to hyenas overnight. With the odds stacked against her, she assumed the trophy was ruined.
However, upon arrival at TCI, we performed intricate “surgery” on the damaged skin, seamlessly patching the missing section with a spare leopard skin. When Jan received her mounted trophy in Florida, she was stunned – it looked like the very cat she had harvested.
At TCI, we turn challenges into triumphs, ensuring that every memory is immortalised.
